
Alyce Daubenspeck
Mezzo-soprano Alyce Daubenspeck will make her main stage debut with Boheme Opera NJ in the role of Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors. She has been featured in such leading roles as August Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe, The Old Prioress in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Lyubov in Mazeppa, Tisbe in La Cenerentola, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro and Armelinda in Cendrillon, among others. In 2019, Alyce notably placed first in the Metropolitan Opera National Council District Auditions in South Carolina and was also selected as the winner of The American Prize in Vocal Performance at The Friedrich & Virginia Schorr Memorial Awards. Working as adjunct voice teacher at DeSales University in Pennsylvania since 2019, she is a graduate of Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies and of Westminster Choir College with a Master of Music in vocal performance and pedagogy.
