Operatic musician Doug Han enjoys an active domestic and international career in staged and concert opera, coaching and conducting colleagues ranging from Grammy Award-winning artists to conservatory degree candidates. He returns to Boheme Opera after having joined the company as principal rehearsal pianist for Rigoletto (2022), Lucia di Lammermoor (2017), La Traviata (2014), Faust (2012) and Tosca (2011). A fluent French and Italian speaker, Doug served on the music staffs of the Opera Festival of Chicago’s inaugural 2021 season, preparing their 2021 autumn production of Cosi fan tutte. Recent international credits include his European conducting debut conducting excerpts from Carmen in Sicily and joining Staatsoper Hamburg as rehearsal prompter for Il barbiere di Siviglia.
