Gisele Assi
Gisele Assi, born in São Paulo, Brazil, has lived in New York and New Jersey since 1999. She studied flamenco dance and cante in Madrid and Seville. She is an Assistant Director/Choreographer/Principal Dancer/Cantaora with Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre and has appeared in TV shows and flamenco tablaos in NYC and in the tristate area as a featured dancer and singer. Gisele was given a scholarship to study flamenco singing at the FUNDACION CRISTINA HEREEN in Sevilla. She has taught flamenco dance for children and adults at Ballet Hispanico, Third Street Music Settlement, Fazils Studio and at Piel Canela. In NJ, she teaches at Every Little Movement Academy of Art and Yolanda’s Academy of Music & Dance.
