Teresa Rodriguez
Teresa Rodríguez, soloist and featured dancer joined Alborada in 2000, after three years of intense flamenco training in Caracas, her native city, and New York. She has studied with Rosario Carrillo, Eva Lucena, Jorge Navarro, Chavela, José Molina, Diana Morales, Gisele Revollar, Nelida Tirado, Omayra Amaya y Soledad Barrio. In Spain, she has studied with Manolete and Marien Luévano. In 1999, Teresa performed in the Two River Theatre production of Federico Garcia Lorca’s Blood Wedding, choreographed by Martin Santangelo. Currently she dances in theatres, festivals and arts in education performances in New Jersey with the Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre and in New York.
